Join Homeboy Industries as the Director of Marketing & Brand Strategy, a pivotal leadership role that drives the organization's visibility and impact. In this position, you will craft compelling narratives that highlight our transformative work in rehabilitating formerly gang-involved and previously incarcerated individuals, fostering community change through strategic branding and marketing initiatives. Your efforts will directly contribute to expanding our reach, securing partnerships, and advancing our mission of hope, redemption, and second chances across Los Angeles and beyond. Lead the development and execution of comprehensive marketing strategies, including digital campaigns, social media management, and content creation tailored to our unique social impact focus. Daily tasks involve overseeing brand messaging consistency, analyzing campaign performance metrics like engagement rates and conversion goals, and collaborating with program directors to align marketing with operational needs. Weekly, you will meet with cross-functional teams to brainstorm initiatives, review analytics from tools like Google Analytics and HubSpot, and refine SEO strategies for our website. Monthly responsibilities include preparing reports on key performance indicators such as donor acquisition growth and event attendance, managing budgets for advertising spends, and spearheading major projects like annual fundraising campaign launches. You will mentor a small marketing team, foster partnerships with media outlets and influencers, and ensure all deliverables meet high standards of storytelling that resonate with diverse audiences, from philanthropists to community members. A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field is required, with a master's degree preferred. Candidates must bring at least 10 years of progressive experience in marketing leadership, ideally within nonprofit or social enterprise sectors, with proven success in brand strategy for mission-driven organizations. Proficiency in digital marketing platforms including Google Analytics, Adobe Creative Suite, CRM systems like Salesforce, and social media advertising tools is essential. Deep knowledge of the nonprofit landscape, particularly in rehabilitation and community development, along with experience in fundraising campaigns and stakeholder engagement, sets top candidates apart. Certifications such as Google Ads, HubSpot Inbound Marketing, or digital strategy credentials are highly valued.
