Job Description

Lead facilities management at Bank of the Sierra, overseeing operations, maintenance, and strategic planning for all California locations. Drive efficiency, safety, and sustainability to support banking excellence.

Full Description

As Head of Facilities at Bank of the Sierra, you will spearhead the strategic oversight of all facility operations across our California branches, ensuring seamless functionality that underpins our banking services. This pivotal leadership role directly impacts employee productivity, customer experience, and operational cost efficiency, positioning the bank as a leader in reliable infrastructure management within the financial sector. Your day-to-day responsibilities will encompass directing comprehensive maintenance programs for buildings, HVAC systems, electrical infrastructure, and plumbing to prevent disruptions and extend asset life. Weekly, you will conduct site inspections across multiple locations, coordinate with vendors for repairs and upgrades, and analyze energy usage data to optimize consumption and reduce costs by at least 10% annually. Monthly, lead capital project planning, such as renovations or expansions, delivering detailed budgets, timelines, and ROI projections while collaborating with executive teams, IT, security, and branch managers to align facilities with business goals. Oversee a team of technicians and administrators, fostering performance through training and KPIs like 99% uptime and swift emergency response. Manage compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, including OSHA standards and California building codes, while spearheading sustainability initiatives like LEED certifications and green energy transitions. You will also negotiate contracts with suppliers, forecast annual budgets exceeding $5M, and implement disaster recovery protocols to ensure business continuity during crises. Ideal candidates hold a bachelor's degree in facilities management, engineering, or business administration, with a Master's preferred, plus 10+ years of progressive experience in facilities leadership within corporate or financial environments. Certifications such as Certified Facility Manager (CFM), Project Management Professional (PMP), or LEED Accredited Professional are essential. Proficiency in CMMS software like IBM Maximo or UpKeep, AutoCAD for design, and energy management tools is required, alongside deep knowledge of California regulations, fire safety codes, and ADA compliance. Proven track record in managing multi-site portfolios and budgets over $3M is mandatory. Success demands strong technical acumen in building systems and vendor platforms, paired with exceptional leadership to inspire teams and drive results. Excellent communication skills are vital for stakeholder presentations and cross-departmental collaboration, complemented by strategic thinking for long-term planning and problem-solving under pressure. Industry expertise in financial sector facilities, emphasizing security integration and customer-centric environments, sets top performers apart. Bank of the Sierra, a trusted community bank since 1976, empowers clients in California with personalized financial solutions rooted in integrity, innovation, and service excellence. Our collaborative culture thrives in a dynamic work environment with supportive teams focused on growth and work-life balance, offering modern offices equipped for success.
