Job Overview: Lensa is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our remote team based in Norwood, MA. In this insurance-focused role, you will play a vital part in supporting pharmacy benefits management, processing claims, and assisting with medication access for members. Key Responsibilities: Accurately enter and process prescription orders into the pharmacy management system, verifying insurance coverage and eligibility. Communicate with patients, pharmacists, and insurance providers to resolve claims issues, prior authorizations, and refill requests. Maintain precise patient records, update medication profiles, and ensure all documentation complies with HIPAA and state pharmacy regulations. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and handling controlled substances according to DEA guidelines. Provide exceptional customer service via phone, email, or chat, educating patients on proper medication use, side effects, and insurance copays. Collaborate with healthcare teams to support formulary adherence and cost-saving initiatives. Perform quality assurance checks on prescriptions and participate in audits to uphold operational standards. Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited Pharmacy Technician program preferred. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced remote environment while maintaining accuracy under pressure. Solid understanding of medical terminology, pharmacology basics, and insurance billing codes (e.g., NDC, HCPCS). Tech-savvy with experience in electronic health records (EHR) and telepharmacy tools.
