Job Overview
The Boston Celtics, one of the most storied franchises in NBA history, are seeking a motivated Inside Sales Representative to join our dynamic ticket sales team. Based in Boston, MA, this role focuses on generating revenue through inbound and outbound sales of season tickets, suite packages, group outings, and premium experiences. You'll play a key part in engaging fans, businesses, and partners to create unforgettable connections with Celtics basketball while contributing to the team's continued success both on and off the court.
Key Responsibilities
Prospect and qualify leads via phone, email, and CRM systems to build a robust sales pipeline. Conduct sales presentations, negotiate contracts, and close deals for individual game tickets, partial/full season packages, luxury suites, and corporate group sales. Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline progress in Salesforce or similar platforms. Collaborate with the sales team to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets. Follow up with prospects and existing clients to upsell, renew accounts, and ensure high customer satisfaction. Participate in sales training, game-day events, and networking opportunities to enhance skills and visibility. Analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sports Management, or a related field. Minimum of 1-2 years of inside sales experience, preferably in sports, entertainment, or high-volume telesales environments. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas. Strong understanding of CRM tools like Salesforce. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays to accommodate game schedules and events.
Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication with persuasive presentation abilities. High energy, resilience, and a competitive drive to thrive in a fast-paced sales environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and sales analytics tools. Relationship-building expertise with a customer-centric approach.
