Job Overview AlphaX is seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant to join our Family Medicine Clinic in Wingate, NC. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality primary care services to patients of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics, in a community-focused setting. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will work alongside experienced physicians, nurses, and support staff to deliver preventive care, diagnose illnesses, and develop personalized treatment plans. Our clinic emphasizes patient-centered care, utilizing the latest medical technologies and evidence-based practices to improve health outcomes in the Wingate area. Key Responsibilities Your primary duties will include conducting comprehensive patient assessments, including history taking, physical examinations, and ordering diagnostic tests such as lab work, imaging, and screenings. You will diagnose and treat a wide range of acute and chronic conditions, prescribe medications, administer injections, and perform minor procedures like suturing or skin biopsies. Developing and implementing patient care plans, providing health education on topics like nutrition, disease prevention, and lifestyle modifications, and coordinating referrals to specialists are essential. You will also manage follow-up care, monitor treatment efficacy, and maintain accurate electronic health records in compliance with HIPAA and clinic protocols. Participation in on-call rotations and quality improvement initiatives will ensure continuous enhancement of our services. Required Qualifications Candidates must hold a Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program and possess current NCCPA certification as a Physician Assistant. Active North Carolina state licensure, DEA registration, and BLS certification are required, with ACLS preferred. A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in family medicine, primary care, or internal medicine is essential. Strong knowledge of family practice guidelines, pharmacology, and common outpatient procedures is necessary. Skills Excellent clinical judgment, interpersonal communication, and empathy are crucial for building trust with patients and collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams. Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems, such as Epic or Cerner, and diagnostic tools is required. You should demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinic environment while prioritizing patient safety and satisfaction.
