St. Joseph Medical Group is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join the clinical team at St. Joseph Family Medical Care in Kansas City, Missouri. The Nurse Practitioner will play a vital role in providing comprehensive primary care services, diagnosing and treating acute and chronic conditions, and promoting wellness across diverse patient populations. Key Responsibilities include conducting thorough patient assessments, obtaining medical histories, performing physical examinations, and ordering or interpreting diagnostic tests. The Nurse Practitioner will develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans, prescribe medications, and provide patient education on disease prevention and health management. Additional duties involve collaborating with physicians and specialists to coordinate care, maintaining accurate electronic health records, and participating in quality improvement initiatives. Required Qualifications for this position include a current Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Missouri, national certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Adult Nurse Practitioner, and a Master of Science in Nursing or Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from an accredited program. Candidates must possess a minimum of two years of clinical experience in primary care, family medicine, or internal medicine, and hold current BLS and ACLS certifications.
