Full Description

Job Overview: The Hartford is seeking a motivated Licensed Inbound Sales Center Insurance Agent specializing in Personal Lines to join our dynamic team in Kansas, with a start date of June 1. In this full-time role, you will focus on managing inbound customer inquiries, recommending tailored personal insurance solutions such as auto, home, and renters coverage, and closing sales to meet performance targets while providing outstanding service. Key Responsibilities: As an Inbound Sales Agent, you will receive and respond to customer calls promptly, assess their insurance needs through active listening and probing questions, and present personalized policy options that align with their requirements and budgets. You will generate quotes, explain coverage details, handle objections, and finalize sales transactions efficiently using our state-of-the-art CRM systems. Additionally, you will maintain accurate records of interactions, follow up on leads to nurture relationships, upsell complementary products when appropriate, and collaborate with underwriting teams to ensure seamless policy issuance. Achieving individual and team sales quotas, adhering to compliance standards, and contributing to a positive team environment through knowledge sharing are essential parts of the role. Required Qualifications: Candidates must hold an active Property & Casualty insurance license in Kansas (or be able to obtain one promptly). A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with an associate's or bachelor's degree preferred. At least 1-2 years of experience in insurance sales, customer service, or call center environments is necessary, along with proven success in a target-driven sales position. Strong proficiency in computer systems, including telephony software and Microsoft Office, is essential. Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are critical for building rapport and persuading customers. You should demonstrate strong sales acumen, including needs assessment, consultative selling, and objection handling. Analytical skills to evaluate risks and recommend solutions, resilience in a fast-paced environment, and a customer-centric mindset are key. Technical proficiency with sales tools, multitasking abilities during high call volumes, and a commitment to ethical practices and regulatory compliance round out the ideal skill set. Company Info: The Hartford, a Fortune 500 company with over 200 years of history, is a leading provider of property and casualty insurance, group benefits, and mutual funds. Known for innovation and customer focus, we serve millions across the U.S. with reliable protection and financial services. Our Kansas-based sales center is part of a supportive network emphasizing employee success and work-life balance. Benefits: We offer competitive compensation with uncapped commission potential, comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and employee assistance programs. Additional perks include tuition reimbursement, wellness incentives, and flexible spending accounts to support your well-being. Growth Opportunities: The Hartford invests in your professional development through ongoing training, certification support, mentorship programs, and clear career paths to senior agent, team lead, or management roles. High performers can advance quickly in our expanding sales organization, with opportunities for cross-functional moves into underwriting, claims, or product development.
