Full Description
Job Overview
Stewart Title, a leading provider of title insurance and real estate settlement services, is seeking a dedicated Customer Service Specialist to join our New Jersey team. In this full-time role, you will play a vital role in supporting clients, agents, and internal teams by providing accurate information, resolving inquiries, and fostering positive relationships in the fast-paced real estate industry.
Key Responsibilities
You will handle inbound and outbound customer communications via phone, email, and chat, addressing questions about title searches, insurance policies, closing processes, and escrow services. Responsibilities include troubleshooting complex issues, escalating matters to underwriting or legal teams when necessary, maintaining detailed customer records in our CRM system, and ensuring compliance with state regulations and company policies. Additionally, you will collaborate with sales and operations teams to improve service delivery, process documentation requests efficiently, and contribute to customer satisfaction surveys to drive continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with an associate's or bachelor's degree in business, communications, or a related field preferred. At least 1-2 years of customer service experience, ideally in real estate, insurance, or financial services, is essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with CRM software such as Salesforce or similar platforms is necessary. Candidates must possess strong attention to detail, the ability to multitask in a high-volume environment, and excellent time management skills.
Skills
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are crucial, along with active listening and empathy to build rapport with diverse clients. Problem-solving abilities, including analytical thinking to resolve discrepancies in title reports, and a customer-centric mindset are key. Technical skills in data entry, basic research using online databases, and adaptability to learn proprietary title software are highly valued. Team collaboration, conflict resolution, and a proactive approach to identifying service gaps will set you apart.
