Job Overview: Join PepsiCo as a Relief Sales Representative in Hays, KS, supporting large grocery and mass merchandise accounts. This full-time role involves filling in for regular routes, executing sales strategies, and ensuring optimal product placement to boost sales and customer satisfaction in a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities: Route sales and merchandising by stocking shelves, rotating products, and building displays to maximize visibility and sales. Service accounts by taking orders, processing payments, and resolving delivery issues promptly. Build and maintain strong relationships with store managers and retail staff to drive repeat business and promotional opportunities. Monitor inventory levels, identify sales trends, and report insights to optimize future deliveries. Operate company vehicles safely, adhering to all traffic laws and PepsiCo safety protocols. Execute promotional programs, including end-cap displays and in-store tastings, to increase brand awareness. Achieve or exceed sales targets through proactive selling and upselling techniques. Maintain equipment and vehicles in clean, working condition, performing basic maintenance as needed.
Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and ability to obtain necessary endorsements. At least one year of sales, route sales, or retail experience, preferably in consumer packaged goods. Physical ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions. Basic proficiency in mobile sales tools and inventory management software.
