Dinges Fire Company is expanding its presence in Nebraska and is seeking a dedicated Sales Representative to serve the Lexington area. This contract position offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced sales professional to represent high-quality fire safety equipment and solutions to commercial and industrial clients throughout the region. The role combines field sales activities with strategic account management to grow market share and establish long-term customer partnerships.
Key Responsibilities include identifying and prospecting new business opportunities within the assigned territory, conducting product demonstrations and presentations to potential clients, building and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers to ensure satisfaction and repeat business, meeting or exceeding monthly and quarterly sales targets, preparing detailed sales reports and forecasts for management review, collaborating with the operations team to ensure timely product delivery and installation, staying current with industry trends, competitor activities, and new product developments, and representing the company at trade shows, industry events, and networking functions.
Required Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent with previous sales experience preferred, valid driver's license and reliable transportation, willingness to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory, basic computer proficiency for CRM and reporting purposes, and excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Skills required for success include strong negotiation and closing abilities, customer relationship management expertise, product knowledge acquisition and retention, territory management and route planning, time management and self-motivation, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
