Job Overview: Farmer Brothers, a leading coffee and beverage distributor with over a century of experience, is seeking a motivated Route Sales Associate to join our team in Wichita, KS. In this hands-on role, you will manage a designated sales route, deliver high-quality products to businesses such as restaurants, hotels, and offices, and foster lasting customer relationships to drive repeat business and revenue growth. Key Responsibilities: Drive a company-provided vehicle to service your assigned route, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries of coffee, tea, beverages, and related supplies. Stock and merchandise products on customer premises to enhance visibility and sales potential, while actively promoting new products and upselling to meet or exceed sales quotas. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers by understanding their needs, resolving issues promptly, and providing personalized service. Collect payments, manage inventory levels, and report sales data accurately using mobile technology. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of your delivery vehicle and adhere to all safety protocols. Participate in training sessions and team meetings to stay updated on product knowledge and company initiatives.
Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; valid driver's license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a DOT physical exam. Previous experience in sales, delivery, or route management is preferred but not required, as we provide comprehensive training. Must be physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds repeatedly and comfortable working in various weather conditions.
Skills: Excellent customer service and communication abilities to engage effectively with diverse clients. Strong organizational skills for managing routes, inventory, and schedules efficiently. Sales acumen with a results-oriented mindset to identify opportunities and close deals. Proficiency with mobile apps and basic technology for order processing and reporting.
