Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
In this role, you'll greet customers warmly upon entry, answer their inquiries, and recommend products to meet their needs. You'll operate cash registers with accuracy, process various payment methods including cash, credit, and digital wallets, and bag purchases efficiently. Stocking shelves, organizing merchandise displays, and ensuring product availability will be part of your daily tasks. You'll also assist with inventory management by receiving shipments, checking for accuracy, and rotating stock as needed. Maintaining cleanliness and safety standards throughout the store is essential, including straightening aisles, facing products, and monitoring for hazards. During peak times, you'll help manage crowds, resolve customer complaints courteously, and promote store promotions to drive sales.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must be at least 18 years old and able to work flexible part-time hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required. Previous retail or customer-facing experience is a plus, though we'll provide training for motivated individuals. You should be able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 40 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment. Basic math skills for handling transactions and familiarity with point-of-sale systems are beneficial.
Skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are crucial for building rapport with diverse customers. You'll need problem-solving abilities to address issues swiftly and multitasking prowess to juggle multiple responsibilities. Attention to detail ensures accurate transactions and neat store presentation. A positive attitude, teamwork orientation, and adaptability to varying workloads will help you succeed. Reliability and punctuality are non-negotiable in this customer-centric role.
