Job Overview: BMO U.S. is seeking a dynamic SVP - Transportation Finance Sales Manager to spearhead our transportation finance division in Kansas. This senior leadership role focuses on expanding market share, cultivating key client partnerships, and delivering tailored financing solutions to transportation sector clients, including trucking, logistics, and fleet operators. Reporting to the Head of Commercial Banking, you will drive strategic sales initiatives to achieve ambitious revenue targets while enhancing BMO's reputation as a trusted financial partner in a competitive industry. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies for transportation finance products, such as asset-based lending, equipment financing, and working capital solutions. Build and maintain relationships with C-suite executives at transportation companies, identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell BMO's full suite of banking services. Lead a high-performing sales team, providing coaching, performance management, and motivation to exceed quarterly and annual targets. Collaborate with underwriting, risk management, and product teams to structure complex deals efficiently. Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and client needs to inform pricing, product development, and go-to-market strategies. Represent BMO at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to generate leads and strengthen brand visibility. Monitor portfolio performance, mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred. Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in financial services sales, with at least 8 years in transportation or equipment finance. Proven track record of achieving multi-million-dollar sales targets in a leadership capacity. Deep knowledge of transportation industry dynamics, including regulatory environments, fuel costs, supply chain challenges, and fleet management trends. Skills: Exceptional sales acumen with strong negotiation and closing abilities. Strategic thinking and business development expertise. Leadership and team-building proficiency. Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, credit analysis, and CRM tools like Salesforce. Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
