Full Description
We are seeking a motivated Chemical and Fertilizer Sales professional to join our team in Superior, Nebraska. This role focuses on promoting and selling agricultural chemicals and fertilizers to farms, cooperatives, and agribusinesses across the region. The position requires strong industry knowledge, excellent relationship-building skills, and the ability to understand client needs to provide effective product recommendations and solutions.
Key Responsibilities include identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities within the agricultural sector, maintaining and expanding relationships with existing customers, conducting product presentations and educational sessions for clients, monitoring market trends and competitor activity, preparing accurate sales forecasts and reports, and ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction. The role also involves collaborating with suppliers and internal teams to resolve issues and optimize product offerings.
Required Qualifications include previous sales experience in agriculture, chemicals, or related industries, a valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the territory, strong communication and negotiation skills, and basic computer proficiency for CRM and reporting tools. A background in agronomy or crop science is highly preferred.
Skills needed for success include product knowledge of fertilizers and crop protection chemicals, territory management, customer relationship management, sales pipeline development, and the ability to analyze soil and crop data to recommend appropriate products.
