We are seeking a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team at the Pine Ridge Indian Health Service facility in Pine Ridge, South Dakota. This role offers the opportunity to provide essential primary care services to a diverse patient population in a rural healthcare setting. The successful candidate will conduct comprehensive patient assessments, diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, prescribe medications, and develop individualized treatment plans. You will perform routine physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, provide preventive care services, and manage ongoing health conditions for patients across all age groups. Collaboration with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals will be essential to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care. Candidates must possess current licensure as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of South Dakota, along with national certification from an accredited certifying body. A minimum of two years of clinical experience in primary care or family practice is preferred. Strong clinical assessment skills, proficiency in electronic health records, and excellent communication abilities are required. Candidates should demonstrate cultural sensitivity and the ability to work effectively in a rural healthcare environment.
