Bomgaars Supply is seeking a dedicated part-time Cashier/Sales Associate to join our retail team in Lexington, Nebraska. This role combines customer service excellence with operational support in a fast-paced retail environment focused on serving the agricultural and hardware needs of our local community. As a Cashier/Sales Associate, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers entering the store. Your daily responsibilities include greeting customers with a friendly and professional demeanor, accurately processing cash, credit, and debit transactions, and assisting customers with locating products throughout the store. You will be expected to answer questions about merchandise, pricing, and store policies while maintaining a thorough knowledge of our product offerings including farm supplies, tools, and hardware items. Additional responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness and organization of the checkout area, restocking merchandise on the sales floor, and ensuring that displays remain attractive and properly priced. You will handle customer returns and exchanges according to company policy, resolve basic customer concerns, and escalate complex issues to management when appropriate. Inventory management tasks such as counting stock, receiving shipments, and preparing merchandise for display will also be part of your regular duties. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrate reliability and punctuality, and maintain a positive attitude in a team-oriented environment. Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not required, as comprehensive training will be provided. Candidates must be able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 40 pounds, and work flexible hours including weekends and holidays during peak seasons.
