We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Night Shift ICU Nurse to join our team at Doctor's Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. This contract position offers an exciting opportunity for experienced critical care nurses looking to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic healthcare setting. The role requires working night shifts in the Intensive Care Unit, providing specialized care to critically ill patients while collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams. Key Responsibilities include monitoring and assessing patients' conditions continuously, administering medications and treatments as prescribed, operating and maintaining life-support equipment, responding to medical emergencies with appropriate interventions, documenting patient information accurately in electronic health records, and communicating effectively with patients' families regarding care plans and progress. The nurse will also participate in care planning meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the unit. Required Qualifications include a current and valid Registered Nurse license in the state of Nebraska, a minimum of two years of recent ICU or critical care nursing experience, BLS and ACLS certifications, and the ability to work independently during night shifts. Preferred qualifications include CCRN certification and experience with electronic medical record systems.
