Destination Careers is seeking a dedicated Customer Service Representative to manage hotel reservations remotely on a part-time basis. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking assistance with booking accommodations, answering inquiries, and resolving any issues that may arise during the reservation process. Your primary focus will be on delivering outstanding customer experiences by providing accurate information about available properties, rates, and policies while ensuring each interaction reflects professionalism and efficiency. Key Responsibilities include answering inbound calls and responding to email or chat inquiries regarding hotel availability and booking procedures. You will process reservation requests, modifications, and cancellations while maintaining detailed records in the company’s reservation system. Additional duties involve verifying customer information, coordinating with hotel partners to confirm bookings, and escalating complex issues when necessary. You will also handle billing inquiries, provide information about cancellation policies, and offer recommendations to enhance the customer’s travel experience. Required Qualifications for this position include a high school diploma or equivalent, previous customer service experience preferably in hospitality or travel, and strong computer literacy with the ability to navigate reservation platforms quickly. Candidates must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills along with the capacity to remain calm and solution-oriented under pressure. A reliable internet connection and a quiet workspace are essential for this remote role. Skills needed to succeed include active listening, empathy, problem-solving, time management, and attention to detail. Familiarity with hotel booking systems such as Opera or Sabre is a plus, as is the ability to upsell additional services when appropriate.
