Job Overview Slumberland Furniture, a trusted name in quality home furnishings since 1967, is seeking a dynamic Sales Professional to join our Grand Island, NE store. In this full-time role, you'll engage customers, showcase our extensive selection of mattresses, living room sets, bedroom furniture, and more, while building lasting relationships to exceed sales targets and enhance the shopping experience. Key Responsibilities Greet and assist customers warmly, understanding their needs to recommend ideal products. Demonstrate furniture features, including comfort tests for mattresses and style coordination for home decor. Handle sales transactions efficiently using our point-of-sale systems, process financing options, and ensure seamless delivery coordination. Maintain an organized, inviting showroom by merchandising displays and keeping inventory current. Build customer loyalty through follow-up calls, personalized recommendations, and exceptional service. Collaborate with store team to achieve monthly sales goals, participate in promotions, and contribute to a positive store atmosphere. Stay informed on product updates, industry trends, and competitor offerings to provide informed advice. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; retail sales experience preferred but not essential as we provide comprehensive training. Valid driver's license for occasional delivery assistance. Ability to work flexible retail hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Skills Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to connect with diverse customers. Strong sales acumen with a consultative selling approach focused on needs-based solutions. Proficiency in basic computer operations for inventory and CRM systems. Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move furniture as needed. Self-motivated with resilience to handle sales cycles and rejection positively. Organizational skills for managing leads and follow-ups effectively.
