Job Overview: As a Field Sales Representative III, Public Sector for Google Cloud, you will play a pivotal role in expanding Google's cloud solutions within Kansas state government, education, and public agencies. This full-time field-based position involves prospecting, nurturing client relationships, and driving adoption of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services to deliver transformative digital solutions. Key Responsibilities: Generate and qualify leads through targeted outreach to public sector decision-makers, conducting needs assessments and demos of Google Cloud products like Compute Engine, BigQuery, and AI/ML tools. Develop and execute strategic account plans, collaborating with Google Cloud partners, solutions architects, and professional services teams to craft customized proposals. Negotiate complex contracts, manage sales pipelines using Salesforce, and consistently exceed quarterly revenue quotas while ensuring customer success post-sale. Travel extensively within Kansas to attend meetings, conferences, and client sites, representing Google Cloud at industry events to build brand visibility. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent practical experience. Minimum 8+ years in enterprise software or cloud sales, with proven track record selling to public sector clients (state/local government, education, healthcare). Demonstrated success in closing six-figure deals and achieving 100%+ quota attainment. Skills: Exceptional communication and presentation abilities to influence C-level executives. Deep understanding of cloud computing, public sector procurement processes (e.g., RFPs, GSA schedules), and compliance standards like FedRAMP, CJIS. Proficiency in CRM tools like Salesforce, consultative selling methodologies, and relationship-building in regulated environments. Strong analytical skills for forecasting and pipeline management; self-motivated with resilience in a competitive field sales role.
