Daily responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, administering medications, managing IV therapies, and collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive treatment approaches. You will educate patients and families about health conditions, treatment plans, and discharge instructions while maintaining accurate documentation in electronic medical records. The position requires strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple patient needs simultaneously in a high-volume setting. Required qualifications include an active Illinois Registered Nurse license, Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree preferred, and minimum of one year medical-surgical nursing experience. BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory with additional specialty certifications considered advantageous. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in electronic health record systems and possess excellent organizational abilities.
