Job Overview OnPoint Medical Group is seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our Urgent Care team on a PRN (as-needed) basis at our Castle Rock, CO location. This role offers the opportunity to deliver exceptional, patient-centered care in a dynamic urgent care setting, treating a wide range of non-emergent acute conditions while collaborating with a supportive multidisciplinary team. Key Responsibilities Evaluate and treat patients presenting with urgent medical needs, including illnesses, injuries, infections, and minor procedures. Perform comprehensive physical exams, order and interpret diagnostic tests such as labs and imaging, and develop evidence-based treatment plans. Prescribe medications, administer injections, and provide counseling on preventive care and follow-up. Document patient encounters accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and clinical protocols. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff to deliver seamless care, triage patients efficiently, and manage high-volume patient flow during peak times. Respond to medical emergencies within scope of practice and refer complex cases to specialists as needed. Required Qualifications Valid Colorado state licensure as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with national certification (NCCPA for PAs or ANCC/AANP for NPs). Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience, preferably in urgent care, primary care, or emergency medicine. DEA registration and current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred. Master's degree from an accredited PA or NP program. Skills Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills with proficiency in managing diverse patient populations across all ages. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to build rapport with patients and families. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment with sound decision-making under pressure. Proficiency in EHR systems like Epic or similar, along with suturing, splinting, and minor surgical procedures.
