Commonwealth Medical Services is actively recruiting a dedicated Trauma Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our specialized trauma care team in Rapid City, South Dakota. This vital healthcare position requires an experienced clinical professional who can provide high-quality medical care to patients with traumatic injuries in a dynamic hospital setting. The successful candidate will work alongside physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes during critical situations.
As a Trauma NP/PA, you will conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and perform necessary procedures for trauma patients. Key responsibilities include stabilizing patients upon arrival, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing appropriate medications, and coordinating with surgical teams when immediate intervention is required. To qualify for this position, candidates must possess a current Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in South Dakota with national certification.
