Schaeffer Mfg. Company is seeking a motivated and results-driven Outside Sales Representative to join our team on a contract basis in McCook, Nebraska. This role offers an exciting opportunity to represent high-quality industrial lubricants and specialty products to businesses across the region. As an independent sales professional, you will play a critical role in expanding our customer base and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients in the agricultural, industrial, and commercial sectors.
In this position, you will be responsible for identifying and prospecting new business opportunities within your assigned territory, conducting product demonstrations, and delivering tailored solutions that meet each customer's unique operational needs. You will manage the full sales cycle from initial contact through closing deals, ensuring exceptional customer service and satisfaction at every stage. Regular travel throughout the McCook area and surrounding communities will be required to meet with clients, attend industry events, and maintain a visible presence in the marketplace. You will also track sales activities, maintain accurate records in our CRM system, and provide market feedback to support strategic decision-making.
The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record of success in outside sales, preferably within the industrial, agricultural, or automotive sectors. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to build trust and credibility with diverse clientele. Candidates must be self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required, as this is a field-based role with significant travel.
