Cape Cod Healthcare is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our dedicated medical staff in Hyannis, Nebraska. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive clinical services to diverse patient populations.
Key Responsibilities include conducting thorough patient assessments, obtaining detailed medical histories, and performing physical examinations to establish accurate diagnoses. The provider will develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans, prescribe medications within scope of practice, and order and interpret diagnostic tests including laboratory work and imaging studies. Additional duties encompass providing preventive care and health education, managing acute and chronic conditions, maintaining accurate electronic health records, and participating in quality improvement initiatives. The role also involves coordinating patient referrals, following up on treatment outcomes, and contributing to multidisciplinary care teams.
Required Qualifications include current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Nebraska, national certification from an accredited certifying body, and a minimum of two years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting. Candidates must possess a valid DEA registration and demonstrate proficiency in electronic medical record systems. Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with healthcare teams are essential.
