Bruckner's Truck & Equipment is seeking a dedicated and experienced Mobile Diesel Technician to join our service team in Hays, Kansas. In this role, you will provide critical mobile repair services to our customers by traveling to job sites and customer locations to maintain and repair diesel trucks and heavy equipment. This position combines technical expertise with customer service excellence to ensure our clients receive prompt, high-quality maintenance solutions. Key Responsibilities include performing diagnostic tests on diesel engines and heavy equipment systems, completing preventive maintenance procedures, executing major and minor repairs on trucks and machinery, maintaining accurate service records, ordering necessary parts and materials, adhering to all safety protocols and industry standards, and providing exceptional customer service while representing the company professionally in the field. Required Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, valid driver's license with clean driving record, minimum three years of diesel mechanic experience, ASE certifications preferred, ability to work independently without supervision, and willingness to travel within the designated service area. Skills needed for success in this position include strong knowledge of diesel engine systems and heavy equipment mechanics, proficiency with diagnostic tools and computer-based testing equipment, excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication and interpersonal skills, physical stamina to work in various weather conditions, and commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
