Join the dedicated healthcare team at Corpus Christi Medical Center Doctors Regional as a Registered Nurse in the Acute Inpatient unit. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional nursing care to patients requiring acute medical attention, ensuring safety, comfort, and optimal outcomes throughout their hospital stay. Working in a fast-paced environment, you will collaborate with physicians, specialists, and fellow nurses to deliver evidence-based treatment and support recovery. Your clinical expertise and compassionate approach will make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and their families every day. Key Responsibilities include assessing patient conditions upon admission and throughout their stay, developing and implementing individualized care plans, administering medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring vital signs and responding promptly to changes in patient status, educating patients and families on diagnoses, procedures, and discharge instructions, maintaining accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records, and participating in quality improvement initiatives and interdisciplinary rounds. You will also ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection control standards, and regulatory requirements while supporting a culture of safety and excellence. Required Qualifications for this position include a current and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the state of Texas, graduation from an accredited nursing program with an Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and a minimum of one year of acute care nursing experience preferred. Candidates must hold current Basic Life Support certification and be eligible for Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification. Strong clinical assessment skills, critical thinking abilities, and effective communication are essential for success in this role. Key Skills necessary to excel include patient assessment and monitoring, medication administration and management, electronic health record documentation, care planning and coordination, and patient and family education. Additional competencies in time management, teamwork, and emergency response protocols are highly valued.
