Meduit is seeking a dedicated Medical Customer Service Representative to provide exceptional support for patients and healthcare providers. This fully remote role focuses on assisting individuals with medical billing questions, account inquiries, and payment arrangements while ensuring a positive experience for every caller. The position requires strong communication skills and the ability to navigate complex healthcare systems with empathy and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities include answering inbound calls from patients regarding medical bills and insurance matters, explaining account balances and payment options clearly, processing payments and setting up payment plans, documenting all interactions accurately in the system, collaborating with billing teams to resolve discrepancies, and following up on outstanding issues to ensure timely resolution. Representatives must maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and company policies while delivering friendly and efficient service.
Required Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, previous customer service experience preferably in healthcare or medical billing, basic knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes, and proficiency with computers and customer relationship management software. Candidates must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills along with strong problem-solving abilities.
Essential Skills include active listening, empathy, attention to detail, time management, and the ability to handle high call volumes while remaining calm under pressure. Experience with electronic health records or medical billing platforms is highly valued.
