Job Overview: The Senior Program Manager, Cause Marketing at the American Red Cross plays a pivotal role in advancing the organization's humanitarian mission by developing and executing innovative cause marketing programs. Located in Kansas, this full-time position involves leading cross-functional teams to create partnerships with brands, corporations, and influencers that drive awareness, engagement, and revenue for critical services like disaster relief, blood donation, and community resilience. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, you will spearhead high-impact campaigns that align corporate social responsibility with Red Cross goals, ensuring measurable outcomes in donor acquisition and volunteer mobilization.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and manage comprehensive cause marketing strategies, including co-branded campaigns, sponsorship activations, and digital storytelling initiatives that resonate with diverse audiences. Cultivate and nurture relationships with corporate partners, negotiating agreements that maximize mutual benefits while advancing Red Cross objectives. Oversee program execution from ideation to evaluation, utilizing data analytics to track KPIs such as ROI, media impressions, and conversion rates. Collaborate with internal teams in marketing, fundraising, communications, and program delivery to integrate cause marketing into broader organizational efforts. Lead budget management, ensuring fiscal responsibility and resource optimization for multi-channel campaigns across digital, social, events, and traditional media. Mentor junior staff and external vendors, fostering a culture of innovation and impact-driven marketing. Stay abreast of industry trends in cause marketing, DEI initiatives, and nonprofit partnerships to position the Red Cross as a leader in the space.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field; Master's degree or MBA preferred. Minimum 8-10 years of progressive experience in cause marketing, partnership development, or brand management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within nonprofit or agency environments. Proven track record of successfully launching and scaling cause-related campaigns that deliver quantifiable results. Experience working with Fortune 500 companies or major brands on CSR initiatives is highly desirable.
Skills: Exceptional strategic thinking and project management abilities, with proficiency in tools like Asana, Salesforce, Google Analytics, and CRM platforms. Strong communication and negotiation skills to influence stakeholders at all levels. Deep knowledge of digital marketing trends, content creation, and audience segmentation.
