Full Description

Job Overview Allstate, a leading insurance provider, is seeking a dynamic Outside Insurance Sales Consultant to join our team in Kansas. In this full-time field-based role, you will represent Allstate's comprehensive suite of insurance products, including auto, home, life, and business coverage, by prospecting and closing sales directly with customers in their communities. As a key player in our sales force, you will enjoy the flexibility of working outside the traditional office setting while benefiting from Allstate's robust support, training, and brand recognition to achieve high performance and career advancement. Key Responsibilities Your primary focus will be generating new business through proactive outreach, including cold calling, networking events, door-to-door canvassing, and leveraging referrals. You will conduct needs-based assessments with potential clients to recommend tailored insurance solutions, present quotes, handle objections, and finalize sales agreements. Additionally, you will maintain ongoing relationships with policyholders, conduct annual reviews to ensure coverage adequacy, and upsell additional products to expand accounts. Expect to track sales activities in our CRM system, meet or exceed monthly and quarterly targets, and collaborate with agency leaders to develop local marketing strategies. Field travel across assigned Kansas territories is essential, with a commitment to ethical sales practices and compliance with state insurance regulations. Required Qualifications Candidates must hold a valid Kansas Property & Casualty insurance license or be willing to obtain one promptly upon hire; life insurance licensing is a plus. A high school diploma is required, with a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred. Prior experience in outside sales, insurance, or financial services (at least 1-2 years) is highly desirable, along with a proven track record of meeting sales quotas. You must possess a clean driver's license, reliable vehicle, and the ability to work independently in a field environment. Skills Success demands exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport and persuade diverse clients. Strong prospecting and lead generation abilities, coupled with negotiation prowess and resilience in handling rejection, are critical. Proficiency in sales tools like CRM software (e.g., Salesforce), Microsoft Office, and mobile apps is essential. Analytical skills for assessing client needs and financial acumen to explain complex insurance concepts simply are key. Self-motivation, time management, and adaptability to varying schedules, including evenings and weekends, will set you apart. Company Info Allstate Corporation, founded in 1931, is one of America's most trusted insurance brands, protecting over 16 million households and businesses nationwide. With a commitment to innovation, customer-centric service, and community involvement, Allstate empowers its agents and sales consultants with top-tier resources, including digital marketing tools, lead generation support, and ongoing professional development.
