MLee Medical Employment is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider to join the Emergency Department team in Moundridge, Kansas. This full-time position offers the opportunity to deliver critical care services in a dynamic healthcare environment where every decision matters and every patient counts. The selected candidate will work alongside physicians and nursing staff to provide comprehensive emergency medical services to patients of all ages presenting with acute illnesses and injuries. Key Responsibilities include conducting thorough patient assessments, obtaining detailed medical histories, and performing physical examinations in emergency situations. The provider will order and interpret diagnostic tests including laboratory studies and imaging, then develop and implement appropriate treatment plans. Additional duties encompass performing emergency procedures such as wound care, splinting, and minor surgical interventions. The APP will also prescribe medications, provide patient education regarding diagnoses and treatment plans, and coordinate care with specialists and primary care providers. Documentation of all patient encounters in the electronic health record system and participation in quality improvement initiatives are essential components of this role. Required Qualifications include current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of Kansas, along with national certification from an accredited certifying body. Candidates must possess a minimum of two years of experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, or critical care settings. Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support certifications are mandatory. Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure are essential. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency with electronic health records and maintain current knowledge of evidence-based emergency medicine practices.
