We are excited to offer a comprehensive Nurse Residency program designed specifically for new graduate nurses seeking to build a strong foundation in telemetry nursing. This full-time night shift position within the Telemetry Overflow Unit at Corpus Christi Medical Center Doctors Regional provides an exceptional opportunity for recent nursing graduates to transition from academic learning to professional clinical practice. As a Nurse Resident, you will deliver direct patient care to individuals requiring cardiac monitoring and telemetry services. Your responsibilities include continuous cardiac rhythm interpretation, medication administration, vital sign monitoring, and patient education regarding cardiac health conditions. You will work collaboratively with experienced nurses, physicians, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a fast-paced acute care environment. The program offers structured orientation, mentorship from seasoned nursing professionals, and hands-on training with advanced cardiac monitoring equipment. Residents will participate in regular educational sessions covering cardiac pathophysiology, arrhythmia recognition, emergency response protocols, and evidence-based nursing practices. Required qualifications include a current Registered Nurse license or eligibility for licensure in the state of Texas, graduation from an accredited nursing program within the past twelve months, and Basic Life Support certification. Preferred qualifications include Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification and previous clinical experience in cardiac or telemetry settings.
