Job Overview
Salud Family Health, a trusted provider of comprehensive family healthcare in rural Colorado, is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) for a part-time position working 2.5 days per week at our Sterling, CO clinic. This role offers a generous $5K sign-on bonus and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on underserved communities through patient-centered primary care. Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality primary healthcare services, including conducting patient assessments, diagnosing illnesses, developing treatment plans, and prescribing medications. Perform routine procedures such as physical exams, vaccinations, wound care, and minor surgical interventions. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, and support staff to coordinate patient care and manage chronic conditions like diabetes, hypertension, and asthma. Educate patients and families on wellness, disease prevention, and lifestyle modifications. Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and ensure compliance with HIPAA and clinical protocols. Participate in on-call rotations as needed and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in Colorado; National certification (ANCC, AANP, NCCPA or equivalent). Master's degree or higher from an accredited NP or PA program. Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in primary care or family medicine preferred. Current DEA registration and BLS certification required; experience with underserved populations a plus.
Skills
Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic abilities; proficiency in EHR systems like Epic or Cerner. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building rapport with diverse patients.
