You will conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, assist passengers with mobility needs, ensure proper securement of wheelchairs and stretchers, and maintain accurate trip logs and documentation. Additionally, you will communicate effectively with dispatch, healthcare providers, and patients' families to coordinate schedules and address any transportation concerns that may arise during service. The ideal candidate must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record, have a minimum of two years of professional driving experience, and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to patient care. Previous experience in transportation or healthcare settings is preferred but not required. Candidates must be able to pass a background check, drug screening, and obtain necessary certifications including CPR and First Aid. Physical stamina is essential as the role may involve assisting patients in and out of vehicles and handling mobility equipment. Key skills for success in this role include defensive driving techniques, patient handling and transfer procedures, route planning and navigation, time management, and strong communication abilities.
