Join Children's Hospital & Medical Center as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in our Developmental Pediatric Clinic located in Omaha, Nebraska. This full-time clinical position offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive, family-centered care to children with developmental delays, autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, and other neurodevelopmental conditions. You will work alongside pediatricians, therapists, and specialists to assess, diagnose, and manage complex developmental and behavioral health concerns in a supportive academic medical environment.
Key responsibilities include conducting thorough developmental evaluations, interpreting diagnostic assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, prescribing medications when appropriate, and coordinating care with multidisciplinary teams. You will educate families on developmental milestones, behavioral strategies, and available community resources while maintaining accurate clinical documentation and participating in quality improvement initiatives. The role also involves mentoring medical students and residents, contributing to research efforts, and staying current with advances in pediatric developmental medicine.
Required qualifications include current licensure as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Nebraska, national certification, and at least two years of clinical experience in pediatrics or developmental medicine. Candidates must demonstrate strong assessment skills, excellent communication abilities, and a genuine passion for supporting children with special healthcare needs. Preferred qualifications include experience in developmental-behavioral pediatrics, bilingual capabilities, and familiarity with electronic health records.
