Sciton is looking for an experienced Software Developer to contribute to the development of cutting-edge medical device software in our Palo Alto office. This position offers the opportunity to work with innovative technologies that advance patient care and clinical outcomes worldwide. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware engineers, quality assurance specialists, and clinical experts to deliver high-quality software solutions.
In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain software applications that support our advanced medical laser and aesthetic treatment systems. Key responsibilities include writing clean, efficient code in multiple programming languages, implementing new features based on product requirements, and troubleshooting complex technical issues. You will participate in code reviews, maintain comprehensive documentation, and ensure all software meets stringent regulatory and quality standards required in the medical device industry.
Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, along with demonstrated experience in software development. Proficiency in modern programming languages such as C++, Python, or Java is essential, as is experience with software development methodologies and version control systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required, along with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders. Experience with medical device software development, FDA regulations, or ISO 13485 quality management systems is highly desirable. Knowledge of embedded systems, real-time operating systems, or user interface design principles will be considered a significant advantage.
