Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, including initial assessments, diagnostic interviews, and mental status examinations for a diverse patient population. Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications, adjusting dosages based on patient response, side effects, and lab results while adhering to state regulations and best practices. Required Qualifications Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program with PMHNP specialization. Active, unrestricted PMHNP licensure in California and national certification (PMHNP-BC) from ANCC or equivalent. Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in psychiatric care, with proficiency in telepsychiatry preferred. DEA registration for controlled substances and familiarity with California prescribing laws. Excellent clinical judgment, cultural competence, and ability to manage high-acuity cases remotely.
