M.H. Eby, Inc. is seeking a motivated Trailer and Truck Body Sales Representative to join our team in Grand Island, Nebraska. This role focuses on generating new business and maintaining strong relationships with customers in the commercial transportation industry. The Sales Representative will promote our premium line of trailers and truck bodies while providing expert guidance to clients throughout the purchasing process.
Key responsibilities include identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, and market research within the transportation sector. You will conduct product demonstrations, prepare detailed quotes, and negotiate contracts that meet both customer needs and company objectives. Building long-term relationships with fleet managers, owner-operators, and business owners is essential as you guide clients from initial inquiry through final delivery and after-sales support. Regular travel within the assigned territory is required to meet customers at their locations and represent the company at industry events and trade shows.
Required qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent with previous sales experience in the automotive, transportation, or equipment industry strongly preferred. Candidates should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly with diverse clients. Strong negotiation abilities, attention to detail, and proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office applications are necessary. A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is mandatory.
