Job Overview High Desert Medical Group, a leading healthcare provider in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our dynamic primary care team. In this pivotal role, you will deliver comprehensive patient care, diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions, and collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to enhance patient outcomes in a supportive outpatient setting. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments, including history taking, physical examinations, and diagnostic testing interpretation. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, prescribe medications, and provide health education to patients and families. Perform minor procedures, manage chronic diseases such as diabetes and hypertension, and coordinate referrals to specialists when necessary. Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR), ensure compliance with clinical protocols and regulatory standards, and participate in quality improvement initiatives. Engage in patient follow-up visits, preventive care screenings, and telehealth consultations to promote wellness and early intervention. Required Qualifications Valid Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant licensure in Pennsylvania with national certification (ANCC or AANP for NPs; NCCPA for PAs). Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited NP or PA program. Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in primary care, family medicine, or internal medicine preferred. Current DEA registration and BLS certification required; ACLS preferred. Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices and familiarity with EHR systems like Epic or Cerner. Skills Excellent clinical judgment and decision-making abilities. Superior communication and interpersonal skills for building rapport with diverse patient populations.
