Resurrection Medical Center is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Stepdown unit in Chicago, Illinois. This role involves delivering high-quality nursing care to patients who require close monitoring as they recover from critical conditions and transition toward a lower level of care. In this position, you will assess patient conditions, administer medications, monitor vital signs, and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to create and implement individualized care plans. You will also educate patients and their families about treatment plans, recovery expectations, and discharge instructions while maintaining accurate medical records and ensuring compliance with all healthcare regulations and hospital policies. Qualified candidates must hold an active Illinois Registered Nurse license and possess a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or an Associate Degree in Nursing. A minimum of one year of acute care nursing experience is required, with previous Stepdown, telemetry, or ICU experience strongly preferred. Current BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory. Ideal candidates demonstrate strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in electronic medical records systems and a commitment to patient-centered care are essential.
