Access Medical Clinic is excited to welcome a skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our dynamic urgent care team in Ponca City, Oklahoma. This full-time clinical position offers an excellent opportunity to provide accessible, compassionate healthcare to patients of all ages in a community-focused setting. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care across a wide range of acute and non-emergent conditions. Key Responsibilities include conducting thorough patient assessments, obtaining detailed medical histories, performing physical examinations, and ordering or interpreting diagnostic tests such as lab work and imaging. You will diagnose and treat common illnesses, injuries, and infections, prescribe appropriate medications, and develop individualized care plans. Additional duties involve suturing wounds, splinting fractures, administering injections, and providing patient education on preventive care and follow-up instructions. Documentation of all encounters in the electronic health record system must be accurate and timely, and you will coordinate referrals to specialists when necessary. Required Qualifications for this role include current, unrestricted licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of Oklahoma, along with national certification from an accredited certifying body. Candidates must hold a valid DEA registration and BLS certification, with ACLS preferred. A minimum of one year of experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or primary care is highly desirable. Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently under pressure are essential. Skills needed for success include proficiency with electronic medical records, diagnostic reasoning, time management, and patient-centered communication.
