Family Dollar, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Customer Service Associate I to join our retail team in North Carolina. This part-time position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with people and providing exceptional service in a dynamic retail setting. The role involves direct customer interaction while supporting daily store operations to ensure a positive shopping experience for all patrons. Key Responsibilities include greeting customers warmly as they enter the store, answering questions about products and store policies, and assisting shoppers in locating merchandise. Associates process transactions accurately at the register, handle cash, credit cards, and other payment methods while maintaining proper cash handling procedures. The position requires maintaining store cleanliness by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are properly priced and labeled. Associates also monitor inventory levels, restock merchandise as needed, and help with receiving and unpacking shipments. Additional duties involve operating the point-of-sale system efficiently, processing returns and exchanges according to company policy, and collaborating with team members to meet daily sales goals. Required Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, with previous retail or customer service experience preferred but not mandatory. Candidates must be at least 16 years of age and possess basic math skills for handling transactions. Availability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential for this role.
