Full Description
United Therapeutics is seeking a Senior/Advanced Lung Disease Sales Specialist to join our dedicated rare disease team in the Palo Alto, California area. This full-time field-based role focuses on promoting and supporting therapies for patients with advanced lung diseases, with a strong emphasis on building trusted relationships with healthcare providers and delivering exceptional clinical education.
Key Responsibilities include developing and executing strategic territory plans, engaging pulmonologists and healthcare professionals to promote company products, providing in-depth clinical and scientific information, and ensuring all activities comply with regulatory and compliance guidelines. The specialist will also identify new business opportunities, maintain accurate records of customer interactions, and collaborate with internal cross-functional teams to support patient access and education initiatives.
Required Qualifications for this position include a bachelor's degree in life sciences, business, or a related field, along with a minimum of five years of pharmaceutical or biotech sales experience, preferably in specialty or rare disease markets. Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and be willing to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
Skills essential for success in this role include strong relationship-building abilities, excellent presentation and communication skills, a deep understanding of the healthcare landscape, and the capacity to work independently while meeting performance targets. Experience with pulmonary or cardiology therapeutic areas is highly valued.
