Job Overview Xpress Wellness Urgent Care is currently hiring a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our dynamic team in Hays, KS. In this full-time role, you will deliver comprehensive urgent care services to patients of all ages, managing acute and chronic conditions in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment. As a key provider at our state-of-the-art facility, you will play a vital role in ensuring efficient, high-quality care for our community. Key Responsibilities Provide prompt assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of non-emergent illnesses and injuries, including minor procedures such as suturing, splinting, and wound care. Order and interpret diagnostic tests like X-rays, lab work, and EKGs, prescribing medications and therapies as appropriate. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff to develop care plans, educate patients on preventive health measures, and ensure seamless follow-up care. Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR), adhere to clinical protocols, and comply with all regulatory standards including HIPAA and OSHA. Manage high patient volumes efficiently while prioritizing patient safety and satisfaction. Required Qualifications Valid Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in Kansas with national certification (FNP-C or PA-C). Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in urgent care, family practice, or emergency medicine preferred. Active DEA registration and BLS/ACLS certification required; DOT certification a plus. Master's degree from an accredited NP or PA program. Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices and ability to work independently.
