Job Overview
The American Red Cross is seeking a dynamic Sales Representative V for our Emergency Services Project Management team in Kansas. In this senior-level sales position, you will play a pivotal role in promoting and selling emergency preparedness, disaster response, and project management services to government agencies, businesses, and organizations across the state. As a key contributor to our mission of helping communities prepare for and recover from disasters, you will manage complex sales cycles, develop strategic partnerships, and ensure seamless project execution to save lives and support recovery efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the full sales lifecycle for emergency services, including prospecting, needs assessments, proposal development, negotiations, and contract closings. Collaborate with project management teams to oversee the implementation of sold services, ensuring client satisfaction and timely delivery of disaster response solutions. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders such as state and local governments, corporations, and non-profits, while identifying upselling opportunities. Conduct market analysis to identify trends in emergency management needs, develop targeted sales strategies, and achieve or exceed revenue targets. Prepare detailed reports on sales performance, project outcomes, and client feedback to support continuous improvement. Represent the Red Cross at industry events, conferences, and community outreach programs to enhance brand visibility and generate leads.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Public Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive sales experience, with at least 5 years in services sales, ideally within emergency management, public safety, or government contracting. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas in a B2G or B2B environment. PMP certification or equivalent project management experience is highly desirable. Willingness to travel within Kansas and respond to disaster activations as needed.

Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex emergency services solutions to diverse audiences. Strong negotiation and closing abilities, coupled with deep knowledge of CRM tools like Salesforce. Analytical mindset for sales forecasting, pipeline management, and ROI demonstrations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel for reporting. High emotional intelligence, resilience under pressure, and a passion for humanitarian causes. Field experience in disaster response or public safety is a plus.
