Mohawk Industries is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Showroom Sales Specialist to join our team in Chicago, Illinois. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers visiting our showroom, guiding them through our extensive range of premium flooring and surface products. You will leverage your product knowledge and consultative selling skills to help clients select the right solutions for their residential or commercial projects while building lasting relationships that drive repeat business and referrals. As a Showroom Sales Specialist, your key responsibilities include greeting and assisting walk-in customers, conducting product demonstrations, providing accurate pricing and availability information, and processing orders through our sales systems. You will maintain an organized and visually appealing showroom environment, manage inventory displays, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely order fulfillment and customer satisfaction. Additionally, you will follow up with leads, track sales performance, and participate in ongoing product training to stay current with industry trends and new arrivals. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, a proven track record in retail or showroom sales, and a genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service. Previous experience in the flooring, home improvement, or interior design industry is highly preferred. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple customer interactions simultaneously, and meeting monthly sales targets. Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and CRM tools is an advantage. Required qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, at least two years of sales experience, and the ability to lift and move product samples as needed. You should demonstrate excellent organizational abilities, attention to detail, and a professional appearance that reflects the premium nature of our brand. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required for occasional off-site meetings or deliveries.
