Job Overview The AVP, Divisional Sales SIG at Sammons Financial Group plays a pivotal leadership role in driving sales performance and expanding market reach within the assigned division. Based in Kansas, this position is responsible for developing and executing strategic sales initiatives that align with the company's overall growth objectives. The AVP will lead a team of sales professionals, foster strong client relationships, and ensure the division consistently meets or exceeds revenue targets. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve divisional growth goals and maximize market penetration. Lead, coach, and mentor sales teams to enhance performance, productivity, and professional development. Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders to drive business opportunities. Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new sales prospects and refine go-to-market approaches. Collaborate with internal departments including marketing, product development, and operations to align sales efforts with company capabilities. Prepare and present regular sales reports and forecasts to senior leadership, highlighting performance metrics and strategic recommendations. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies in all sales activities. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field is required, with a Master's degree preferred. A minimum of seven years of progressive sales experience within the financial services industry, including at least three years in a leadership capacity. Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth. Strong understanding of insurance, investments, or retirement products is highly desirable. Skills Exceptional leadership and team management abilities with experience building high-performing sales organizations. Outstanding communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Proficiency in CRM systems and sales analytics tools. Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating across departments. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a data-driven approach to decision making.
