Job Overview

We are seeking a board-certified PMHNP to join our team in a fully remote, full-time capacity, providing expert psychiatric services to patients throughout Idaho. This role offers the flexibility of working from anywhere while making a meaningful impact on mental health outcomes in an underserved state.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, including initial assessments, diagnosis, and ongoing monitoring of mental health conditions. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, prescribing medications, ordering labs, and coordinating care as needed. Deliver care via secure video sessions, ensuring patient engagement and adherence to evidence-based practices. Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team, including therapists and care coordinators, to provide holistic support. Maintain accurate documentation in our electronic health record system, adhering to all regulatory and compliance standards. Participate in case consultations, quality improvement initiatives, and professional development activities to stay at the forefront of psychiatric care.
Required Qualifications
Active PMHNP licensure in Idaho with a valid DEA license and prescriptive authority. Board certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from ANCC or equivalent. Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in psychiatric care, with a focus on adult and/or child/adolescent populations. Comfortable practicing independently within the scope of Idaho regulations, including telehealth delivery. Current malpractice insurance and commitment to ethical, patient-centered practice.
Skills
Strong clinical judgment and diagnostic skills for complex mental health disorders such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and PTSD. Excellent communication and empathy to build rapport in virtual settings. Proficiency with telehealth platforms, EHR systems like Elation or similar, and basic tech troubleshooting. Ability to manage a full caseload of 20-30 patients per week while maintaining work-life balance. Data-driven approach to treatment outcomes and familiarity with psychopharmacology best practices.
