Dollar Tree Stores is seeking a dedicated Customer Service Associate to join our team in Pennsylvania. In this full-time position, you will play a vital role in creating a positive shopping experience for our customers by providing friendly assistance, handling transactions, and ensuring the store operates smoothly. As a key member of our retail team, you will contribute to the store's success in a high-volume, discount retail setting where every day brings new opportunities to engage with diverse customers.
Key Responsibilities
Greet customers warmly upon entry and offer personalized assistance to help them find products quickly. Process sales transactions accurately using point-of-sale systems, including cash, credit, and debit payments, while upholding company policies on returns and exchanges. Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store environment by stocking shelves, facing merchandise, and recovering the sales floor throughout your shift. Address customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly with empathy and professionalism, and escalate issues when necessary to ensure satisfaction. Support inventory management tasks such as receiving shipments, pricing items, and conducting cycle counts to keep stock levels optimal. Collaborate with team members to achieve daily sales goals and promote seasonal promotions or store initiatives. Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper handling of merchandise and maintaining a hazard-free workspace.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not required; relevant retail or customer-facing experience is a plus. Must be at least 18 years old and able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory counts. Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 40 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment. Legal authorization to work in the United States.
