Monitor vital signs and patient responses during scans and interventions, responding promptly to any complications such as allergic reactions or anxiety. Assist radiologists and technologists with patient positioning, sterile field maintenance, and equipment operation. Ensure compliance with radiation safety protocols, infection control standards, and documentation in electronic health records. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including neurologists, neurosurgeons, and anesthesiologists, to provide seamless care. Educate patients and families on post-procedure care, discharge instructions, and follow-up requirements. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain a safe, efficient workflow in a high-volume imaging department. Required Qualifications: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited program. Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience, with preference for radiology, ICU, or neurology backgrounds. Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred. Knowledge of neuroimaging modalities and contrast media administration. Skills: Exceptional patient assessment and critical thinking abilities. Proficiency in IV therapy, sedation monitoring, and emergency response. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for patient reassurance and team coordination.
